These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your use of this website (“Website”). By using the Website you acknowledge that you have read and accept these Terms.
The Website is owned and operated by The Star Entertainment Group Limited (“We/Us”).
These Terms are effective as at the date specified above and subject to compliance with any applicable laws or regulatory requirements may be amended by Us from time to time by publishing the amended Terms on this Website so please check these Terms each time you use the Website to ensure that you are kept up to date. We will provide you with notification on the Website where We reasonably believe that any variation to these Terms will cause material detriment to you. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should leave the Website immediately. By continuing to use the Website, you accept the current Terms.
2. Registration
We may at times require that you register and/or set up an account to use certain portions of the Website, or the Website as a whole. In order to do so, you may be provided, or required to choose, a password, user ID or other registration information (collectively, “Registration Information”). You agree that all Registration Information provided by you is accurate and up-to-date.
If you register on the Website, you will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Registration Information. You may not authorise others to use your Registration Information. If you have reason to believe that your Registration Information is no longer confidential, you must promptly change the affected Registration Information if possible and also inform Us.
3. The Website
In using the Website and any of the services provided by The Star Entertainment Group, you must not:
Disrupt the operation or security of the Website or those services or any accounts, servers, or networks connected or accessible through the Website;
Use the Website or those services in a way that may harass, annoy or disrupt any third person, including a third person who may receive messages as a result of your use of the Website or those services;
Submit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane or indecent information or material of any kind including without limitation any material constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable law;
Submit any material of any kind which violates or infringes the rights of any other person, including material which is an invasion of any privacy rights, which is protected by copyright, trade mark or any other proprietary right without first obtaining the permission of the owner or relevant right holder;
Submit any material of any kind which contains a virus or other harmful component;
Delete any author attributions, legal notices, or proprietary designations or labels in any material that is submitted;
Modify or delete any content on the Website or add any content to the Website; or
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or those services or any accounts, servers or networks connected or accessible through the Website.
You expressly acknowledge and agree that We do not control users of the Website and are not liable for their behaviour including any information, defamatory statements or offensive conduct.
You agree you will not use any device, software or routine, to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Website.
You agree you will not take any action that imposes a burden or load on the Website that is unreasonable or disproportionate to the benefits We obtain from your use of the Website.
The Star Entertainment Group reserves the right to co-operate fully with any law enforcement authority in any jurisdiction in respect of any lawful direction or request to disclose the identity or other information in respect of anyone posting any materials which violate any applicable or relevant law.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
Trade marks (whether registered or unregistered) and logos used on the websites must not be used or modified in any way without obtaining The Star Entertainment Group’s prior written consent. Further, you must not make use of any Meta tags or other hidden text that uses The Star Entertainment Group’s name, trade marks or business names without our written consent.
The Website and products, technology and processes contained in it may be the subject of other intellectual property rights owned by Us or by third parties. No licence is granted in respect of those intellectual property rights other than as set out in these Terms. Your use of the Website must not in any way infringe the intellectual property rights of any person.
The Website may contain links to, or frame, websites of third parties (“external sites”). We are not required to maintain or update the links. Links to, or framing of, external sites should not be construed as any endorsement, approval, recommendation or preference by Us of the owners or operators of the external sites, or for any information, products or services referred to on the external sites unless expressly indicated on the Website. We do not make any warranties or accept any liability in relation to material contained on external sites which may be linked to this Website. The Website may also be linked to other websites operation by companies affiliated with The Star Entertainment Group. When visiting those websites, you must refer to the individual terms and conditions of use of those Websites.
5. Website Performance, Delays and Viruses
The Star Entertainment Group does not warrant that the material or functions contained in the Website or your access to them will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or any other harmful components.
It is your responsibility to use other means of effecting transactions and obtaining information if for any reason you are unable to use this Website or the Website is unavailable.
We will use all reasonable efforts to ensure that the Website is available to you during the hours specified by Us from time to time but We are not liable to you for or in connection with:
Failure of the Website to perform in whole or in part, any function which We have specified it will perform;
The unavailability of the Website in whole or in part because of the failure of the communication network, ancillary equipment or any circumstance beyond our reasonable control; or
Delays or errors in the execution of any transaction or instruction because of the communication network, ancillary equipment or any circumstance beyond our reasonable control.
We do not make any representations regarding the correctness, accuracy, timeliness, completeness or reliability or otherwise of the Website or the information or functions contained on the Website.
We will not be liable for damage or loss resulting from any delay in operation or transmission, virus, harmful component, communications failure, internet access difficulties or malfunction in equipment or software, howsoever caused.
6. Limitation of Liability
Subject to the following paragraph, under no circumstances will The Star Entertainment Group or any related corporation or their respective directors or employees be liable to you for any losses, damages, liabilities, claims or expenses (including legal costs) whether direct, indirect, or consequential howsoever caused (including, without limitation, negligence) suffered or incurred by you arising out of:
Use of, or any inability to use the Website or any third party website;
The Content of this Website or any third party website; or
Any services offered or made available to you by The Star Entertainment Group through the Website.
If the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (“Act”) or any other legislation implies a condition or warranty into these Terms of Use in respect of goods or services supplied by The Star Entertainment Group, and The Star Entertainment Group’s liability for breach of that condition or warranty may not be excluded but may be limited, the previous paragraph does not apply to that liability and instead The Star Entertainment Group’s liability for any breach of that condition or warranty is limited to in the case of a supply of goods, The Star Entertainment Group doing any one or more of the following (at The Star Entertainment Group’s election):
Replacing the goods or supplying equivalent goods;
Repairing the goods;
Paying the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods;
Paying the cost of having the goods repaired, and, in the case of a supply of services, The Star Entertainment Group doing either or both of the following (at The Star Entertainment Group’s election): supplying the services again;
Paying the cost of having the services supplied again.
Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify rights which you may have under the Act or any other legislation which may not be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.
7. Indemnity
We rely on your continued observance of these Terms. If The Star Entertainment Group suffers any loss or damage or incurs any costs in connection with any breach of the Terms or any other legal obligation, then you agree to indemnify The Star Entertainment Group for those losses, damages and costs. .
8. Linking to this Website
You must not create a hyperlink to any page within the Website unless We give you prior written permission.
9. Termination
We do not guarantee the ongoing operation of the Website and We are not obliged to continue the operation of the Website at any time.
We reserve the right to immediately terminate your use of, or access to, the Website at any time we decide at our sole discretion that you have breached these Terms or any relevant law, rule or regulation or you have engaged in conduct that The Star Entertainment Group considers to be inappropriate or unacceptable. All restrictions imposed on you, licenses granted by you and all The Star Entertainment Group disclaimers, limitations of liability and indemnities set out in these Terms will survive termination.
10. Privacy Policy
By accessing the Website you consent to Us and our related entities, agents and contractors collecting, using and disclosing any information provided for the purposes of operating our business and promoting our products, services, promotions and events.
We may use and deal with your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy available at the Website.

We have legal obligations to provide information to some third parties such as government gaming regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies, as well as obligations to collect personal information under laws such as anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing legislation.

We take care to ensure that any personal information you give Us on the internet is protected and secure, however, We cannot guarantee the strength or effectiveness of the servers or any encryption methods used.
You should keep any passwords or access codes that you have confidential. They are used to control your access to our products and services and are important in helping Us to maintain the security of your personal information and the integrity of our internet services.
12. Cookies
Cookies are data stored on the web browser on your computer. Any web server may store cookies on your browser or request your browser transmit data back to the web server. The Website may store cookies on your web browser in order to improve service for you on your subsequent Website visits.
Most web browsers can be configured to notify the user when a cookie is received allowing you to choose whether to accept or reject the cookie. If you choose to disable or reject cookies, then you may not be able to gain access to all content and services of the Website.
13. Miscellaneous
These Terms apply to the full extent possible in relation to the supply by The Star Entertainment Group of any content or services for a wireless application protocol service (WAP service), a short messaging service for mobile phone users (SMS service) and personal digital assistant service (PDA service).
These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, such invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remainder of the terms which will continue in full force and effect.
All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
STATEMENT REGARDING MANAGER APPOINTED TO THE STAR’S CASINOS
Mr Nicholas Weeks was appointed from 9.00am on 21 October 2022 as Manager of the Sydney casino under section 28 of the Casino Control Act 1992 (NSW).
Mr Weeks was also appointed on 9 December 2022 as Special Manager of The Star Gold Coast casino under section 90C of the Casino Control Act 1982 (Qld).
Mr Weeks was additionally appointed on 29 August 2024 as External Advisor of The Star Brisbane casino under section 91AA of the Casino Control Act 1982 (Qld).
Ms Terri Hamilton and Ms Anna Lacey-Reid have been engaged to assist Mr Weeks.
The Star is likely to disclose personal information to Mr Weeks and Ms Hamilton and they may disclose personal information to The Star. The Privacy Policy below continues to apply to The Star and applies to Mr Weeks, Ms Hamilton and Ms. Lacey-Reid in relation to The Star’s businesses during the period of their appointment.
1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOLD
Information considered as personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) includes information or an opinion about a person who is identified or reasonably identifiable.
Protecting your personal information is important to us.
The Star Entertainment Group Limited and all its related bodies corporate (The Star, we, us, our) is committed to conducting our business in a manner which is safe, ethical, professional, and compliant with the law.
We may collect and hold personal information about you, depending on your interactions with us, which may include your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, image, video and/or audio recordings, a copy of your identification document, casino play history and financial details.
1.1 Sensitive Information
It may be necessary in some circumstances for us to collect some forms of sensitive information about you, for example in order to provide specific services to you. Sensitive information includes information about a person’s race, sexual orientation, disability, ethnic origin, political opinions, health, religious or philosophical beliefs, biometric information used for automated biometric verification or identification purpose, biometric templates, and criminal record. The Star will only collect sensitive information where:
we have obtained your consent (which may be by way of appropriate signage and continual use of The Star’s facilities), and the information is reasonably necessary for one or more of our functions or activities;
we are required to do so under a law that applies to our business; or
we are otherwise permitted by law to do so.
1.2 Third party website and applications
Please be aware that if you access a website or application of a third party when using one of our goods or services or via our website, your personal information will be dealt with in accordance with that party’s Privacy Policy. We suggest that you review the Privacy Policies of any linked sites that you may access from our website before disclosing your personal information on them.
1.3 Anonymity
In some instances, you may desire to remain anonymous. We will make every effort to assist with any such request, however we are not required to provide this option if:
it is impracticable for us to deal with unidentifiable individuals; or
we are required or authorised by law or a court or tribunal order to deal with identified individuals.
You should advise us if you do not wish to be identified and wish to remain anonymous. This may, however, limit the products and services (e.g. gaming services) that we can offer you.
2. HOW WE COLLECT AND HOLD PERSONAL INFORMATION
We generally collect information directly from you when you use our products and services, when you visit our premises or via business arrangements.
In some instances, we may collect personal information from third parties.
2.1 Information Collected from your Computer or other Electronic Devices
When you visit our websites, or use our other online resources, we may use cookies, single pixels tags and similar tracking technologies (including a range of tools provided by third parties such as Meta and Google) to collect and use (including sharing with such third parties when necessary) your personal information to:
provide better online experiences;
deliver more relevant and targeted advertising; or
develop reports on matters such as usage trends and visitation data which may be shared with third party marketing partners and affiliates.
The information collected and used may include your name and contact details, such as mobile number and/or email address; Internet Protocol (IP) address; domain name; browser type; date and time of your request; your internet service provider, mobile carrier, or data services provider; and your online behaviour, such as information on the pages you visit, links you click, features you use, how and when you interact with the services or the content, images and advertisements you select.
If you use a mobile device to access our websites or online resources, we may collect information about your device, such as your device ID and device type, as well as usage information about your device and your use of our mobile websites and other mobile resources.
Most internet browsers and mobile devices can be set to inform you when tracking technologies are being used or sent to your device. They also provide you with the option of refusing the use of tracking technologies, however, this may negatively impact the display or function of certain areas or features of our services.
2.2 Security of Personal Information
The Star will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold about you and monitor that it is accurate, up-to-date and, when that personal information is used or disclosed, relevant to the purpose for which the information is being used or disclosed.
Your personal information is held on secure servers or in storage located in controlled environments.
Our team members and service providers are required to maintain the confidentiality of any personal information held by us.
3. THE PURPOSE OF COLLECTING, RETAINING, USING AND DISCLOSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to provide you with goods and services, to manage your membership to our rewards program, to meet legislative requirements, where it is in our legitimate interests to do so and to continue to improve the goods and services we provide to you.
Sometimes, we are required to share information that we hold about you with government regulators or law enforcement bodies. This may include information obtained about you from audio recordings and from CCTV or facial recognition surveillance when you visit our premises, such as your voice, image or facial biometric information. It may also include your name, contact details, date of birth, copies of your photo ID, other images of you and information about any exclusion or other restriction on access to premises that applies to you.
The Star uses and, in some instances shares, personal information (including in some cases, sensitive information) for reasons including:
Identification, including online ID verification;
provision of requested products or services and benefits gained in relation to that product or service;
management and administration of ongoing products and services, including gaming and other activities;
promotion of safety, security and patron welfare in The Star properties;
obtaining a credit report or other information from a credit reporting agency or financial services provider to assess an application for a gaming or credit related service made by you;
employment of our personnel and engagement of contractors and sub-contractors;
for our business purposes such as entering into or relating to an alliance or joint venture;
for analytics purposes to develop our understanding of our customers and the market in which we operate;
to administer and manage the ownership of The Star’s shares;
to seek to prevent illegal or undesirable activities;
complying with obligations that we may have under laws that apply to our business or to meet reasonable requests from regulatory bodies which regulate our business, such as preparing player activity statements and monitoring the responsible provision of gambling services in our casinos, including the exclusion of patrons from our casinos; and
to otherwise assist law enforcement bodies.
Facial images collected from CCTV surveillance (including body worn cameras), facial recognition cameras, membership signup, law enforcement bodies or ID scanning technology, other casino operators, regulators, or as part of issuing exclusion documentation, and faceprints derived from those images, may be stored and compared for the above purposes. We may share these images and faceprint data amongst our related bodies corporate, with our facial recognition technology providers and with regulators and law enforcement bodies. By entering our premises, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in these ways.
3.1 Direct Marketing
We may collect and use your personal information to promote and market our own or an affiliate of ours’ products and services, promotions and upcoming events (including for example by way of direct mail, telemarketing, targeted digital advertising, SMS, MMS messages, and notifications and alerts to your mobile device).
We will only send you this information if you have indicated your consent to receiving such information.
We will send this information to keep you informed of our new products and services and special offers. You may opt out of receiving direct marketing communications by following the directions in our direct marketing material, for example by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of the email communication you have received, or at any time by contacting us (see contact information below).
Marketing may be undertaken by one or more of the companies in The Star using your personal information. We may use external service providers to assist us in these marketing activities.
3.2 Security
We may collect, use and disclose personal information about you for security purposes, including:
biometric information about you including your photograph or facial biometric information; or
collecting information from your driver’s licence or other identification document/card when you enter our properties; or
collecting your car number plate details when you park in the car park of one of our properties; or
using information from your driver’s licence or other identification document/card or from your car number plate details, to match with personal information we hold about you; or
storing your facial image, and a faceprint made from it, in our facial recognition system to help identify, exclude or remove from the premises individuals to whom we may lawfully deny access and for other purposes relating to gaming, safety and security and preventing illegal or undesirable activities; or
analytics and insights for the purposes of customer risk assessments.
The Star’s properties are subject to CCTV, facial recognition and audio surveillance for security and other reasons. We may collect your personal information through those means.
Details of suspected or actual illegal and undesirable activities and other security-related information may be shared with other casinos, industry bodies and forums, law enforcement bodies and regulatory bodies such as the casino regulator in each of New South Wales and Queensland.
This may include both disclosure of your personal information by us, and the receipt of your personal information by us.
3.3 Excluded Persons
When you visit our premises we may collect, use and disclose personal information about you, including your facial biometric information, for the purpose of verifying whether you are an excluded person or a person whom we may otherwise lawfully deny access to the premises. We may also collect your image or facial biometric information from law enforcement bodies for this purpose.
If we identify such a person we may exclude or remove them from our premises in accordance with our policies and our legal and regulatory obligations.
When we receive personal information (including sensitive information) from another casino operator about persons who are excluded or otherwise lawfully denied access to one or more of its casinos or other premises, we may use it to give exclusion orders to such persons and may also use it to otherwise lawfully deny such persons access to our premises.
4. SHARING INFORMATION WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS
There are circumstances in which we may disclose personal information to another organisation for purposes that are important to help us to operate our business.
We will not sell your personal information to organisations outside The Star.
We may share personal information that has been de-identified (or anonymised) for academic research (including academic research in relation to gambling-related harm).
We will only give another organisation access to your personal information when:
it is in accordance with this Privacy Policy;
the other organisation is providing services to us that help us to operate our business or to provide a service to you;
there is another business reason for us to provide your personal information to that organisation; or
we are required or permitted by law to provide your personal information to that organisation.
Where practical, The Star requires these organisations to agree to this Privacy Policy, meet strict conditions on the use of personal information, and to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles in the use, storage and disclosure of personal information.
Organisations include those that assist us:
to provide, manage or administer the products and services that we offer. This includes service providers (such as human resource services, mail house providers, printers and advertising agencies), postal services, call centres, customer research agencies and our advisers;
to maintain, review, and develop our business systems, procedures and infrastructure, including testing or upgrading our computer software;
to enhance productivity and accuracy when meeting our legal obligations. This may include service providers adopting automated technology;
with reviews of our business operations and structure;
to analyse data to provide insight into our business practices;
to collect outstanding debts; and
with developing and planning new products and services.
We may share personal information with another organisation in relation to potential or threatened legal proceedings or disputes (whether between you and that organisation or between us and that organisation), including for the purposes of gaining legal advice, or to take action considered appropriate in relation to suspected unlawful activity or serious misconduct, including investigating any such alleged activity.
We may also share personal information with an organisation where we have obtained your consent.
5. SENDING INFORMATION OVERSEAS
For international guests, we may share your personal information overseas with your agents and/or representatives (including, but not limited to your tour operator or arranger and their representatives) in your country of origin or in Hong Kong, Macau, or Singapore, as the case may be. In addition, for international gaming guests, we may share your personal information to conduct credit or other background checks, including with other casinos and credit rating and other reporting agencies in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Macau, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United States of America, United Kingdom, France and/or New Zealand.
Your personal information may also be accessed and used by our service providers located outside Australia who assist us to send marketing communications to you.
When we disclose personal information overseas, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas entity complies with the Australian Privacy Principles, unless an exception applies under those principles such that we are not required to do so. We will take reasonable steps to put in place suitable confidentiality protections in relation to personal information we provide to an overseas entity.
6. ACCESS TO, CORRECTION AND DELETION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY HOLD ABOUT YOU
6.1 How you can contact us to seek access to information we may hold about you
You are welcome to ask for access to personal information that we hold about you. To do so, please attend the relevant property from which you want to request the information and complete a request for information form, including your full name, address, account, or membership number (if relevant), and signature.
If you are unable to attend our properties to make a request, you can obtain a copy of the request for information form from the relevant property’s website and send the completed form (along with a copy of your photo identification) to The Star’s Privacy Officer.
A copy of your information will usually be made available to you within 30 days. However, there are circumstances under the Australian Privacy Principles in which we are not required to give you access to personal information. We shall advise you if one of these exceptions applies to your request.
If we intend to charge you a fee for us to find the information you have requested, we will inform you of this cost before we provide the information to you.

If you find that your personal information is inaccurate or out-of-date, please let us know using the contact details below.
6.3 Verification of your identity
We may require evidence of your identity before fulfilling your request to access, correct or delete any of your personal information.

Privacy complaints will normally be assessed, reviewed and responded to within 30 days. If necessary, the Privacy Officer shall investigate the matter and advise of any corrective or other action taken by the business to address the matter.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you can refer your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
8. ADMINISTRATION OF THE POLICY
8.1 Policy Owner
This Policy is owned by the Privacy Officer (Policy Owner).
The Policy Owner is authorised under this Policy to make minor changes to content without the approval of the Policy Approver which are related to changes in position title or minor spelling or grammatical changes, or to update appendices.
The Policy Owner is responsible for conducting a full review of this Policy at least every two years.
8.2 Policy Approver
Approval of this Policy is the responsibility of the Board of Directors (Policy Approver) of The Star Entertainment Group Limited.
